The Surrey Biofuel Processing Facility is one of the largest biofuel processing facilities built in Canada. The facility processes organic material collected from residential and commercial yard waste and changes it into natural gas. This gas is used to power waste-collecting vehicles for the region, and the excess gas is inserted into the FortisBC Natural Gas pipeline system for residential use. Western Pacific’s contribution to this P3 project includes underground electrical pipe work and all base building electrical work including lighting, data, and security systems.
