transportation ConstructionDriving innovation through electrical installations

Building the next generation of smart transportation infrastructure
Our growing nation and aging infrastructure require significant transportation upgrades, installations, and improvements to meet today’s increasing demands. Investments in innovative, smart, and sustainable technology continue to transform the future. We specialize in intelligent transportation systems, all phases of overhead and underground electrical installations, light rail signalization, signage, and traffic management systems.
We work closely with government agencies, private developers, and municipalities, and together, we are advancing the ever-growing transportation sector. We are shaping the infrastructure around us from bridges and light rail systems to traffic monitoring technology and signage.

Connecting communities, cities, & provinces
We understand that no two transportation projects are the same. Through the collaborative partnerships we have developed and the team of experts we bring to each project, we deliver some of the most challenging sky-train and light rail projects and custom project-delivery solutions to our clients. Our experienced professionals lend their knowledge to projects on interstates, roads, and public transportation systems across western Canada. We truly connect communities, cities, and provinces to the grid of the future.
Our successful track record includes the construction and upgrade of urban mass transit systems, rail lines and rail yards, airport runways, taxiways, interstates, highways, bridges, and associated facilities.

Western Pacific Strikes Gold at the 2022 VRCA Awards of Excellence
Western Pacific won a Gold Award from the Vancouver Regional Construction Association (VRCA) as the electrical contractor for the light rail project. We provided all labour and equipment, and managed the installation of the entire electrical system, including Overhead Catenary System, substations, fibre and communication, station communications, train control, and overhead wires for the 13-km line. With our leadership, and members of IBEW 424, we were able to complete the electrical scope of work even with the accelerated schedule.
We also earned two additional awards at the ceremony: a Silver Award of Excellence for the Trans Mountain Power Interconnection Infrastructure Contractor (PIIC) project (General Contractor over $50M) and Superior Safety Record honours.
