November 27, 2020 Western Pacific Enterprises Supports Children In Effort To Bring Smiles To Patients Battling Cancer

Western pacific Enterprises ASSEMBLEs CARE KITS FOR CHILDREN BATTLING CANCER

Western Pacific Enterprises (WPE) was informed by Smith Bros. & Wilson BC Ltd., about a childhood cancer fundraiser they supported, and the WPE team was eager to join in a generous effort to bring happiness to those in need.

Gus and Stella, two compassionate and caring siblings, were collecting donations to assemble chemo care kits for children at BC Children’s and Women’s Hospital. For the third year in a row, the children sought out donors and assembled and delivered kits to patients to ease the struggles of cancer diagnosis and treatment.

Approximately 130 children are diagnosed with cancer yearly, and 350 undergo active treatment. Our team was proud to support the mission. WPE employees joined together and organized a cash cookie fundraiser raising $801 in cookie sales, and upper management matched funds (with a top-up) for a total of $1,801 to donate to the children’s efforts. Through the money they raised and donated items, the children assembled 30 kits to deliver to children battling cancer.

We are honored to support the caring and compassionate youth in their mission to bring a little light to those who need it most.
